The 27th Eurasian Economic Summit Opens with the Ringing of the Peace Bell and the Gathering of People's Will

 

The stability of the world requires the cooperation of all countries. With this in mind, the Marmara Group Foundation organized the 27th Eurasia Economic Summit under the theme "FROM CRISIS, BUILD STABILITY: Cooperation for Building a More Inclusive World" on February 21 and 22 at the WOW Istanbul Hotel. The Federation of World Peace and Love (FOWPAL) was invited to hold the "Ceremony of Ringing the Bell of World Peace and Love" during the event, inviting people to gather their wishes and pray for global blessings. Akkan Suver, the Chairman of the organizer, and Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze, President of FOWPAL, co-signed the Declaration of World Day of the Power of Hope, wishing to unite the hearts of all the world's people to pray for a better world with love and peace as the driving force. On the opening day, seven presidents, prime ministers, deputy prime ministers, and ministers rang the Peace Bell and made wishes for peace for their countries and the world. Nearly 300 politicians, diplomats, academics, religious leaders, and business people from about 40 countries participated in the Summit. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a message to the Summit, highlighting its importance.

At the opening ceremony of the conference on the 21st, the volunteers of the FOWPAL acted as angels, performed the song "The Children from Heaven", and prayed for the world. Dr. Hong explained the significance of ringing the bell: "The world is constantly changing; Traveling around the globe for peace; Applying good governance with conscience; Ringing the Bell to pray for peace; Leading the world by example”. Dr. Akkan Suver expressed his deep appreciation to FOWPAL for their great contribution. The moment Dr. Hong and Dr. Akkan Suver rang the Peace Bell together; the scene was filled with a touching atmosphere of love and peace.

On the first day of the Summit, seven key leaders from various countries rang the Bell of World Peace and Love, including Valdis Zatlers, President of Latvia (2007-2011), Petre Roman, Prime Minister of Romania (1989-1991), Emilija Redzepi, Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Meglena Plugchieva, Deputy Prime Minister of Bulgaria (2008-2009), Grzegorz W. Kolodko, Deputy Prime Minister of Poland (2002-2003), Jasna Duraković, Minister of Education and Science of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Vladimir Norov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan (2006-2010).

After ringing the bell, the leaders expressed their wishes for peace. Meglena Plugchieva , former Deputy Prime Minister of Bulgaria: "I wish to off people worldwide love and peace." Former Romanian Prime Minister Petre Roman: "I wish for a casting peace." Jasna Duraković, Federal Minister of Education and Science of Bosnia and Herzegovina: "I wish for peace and prosperity for Bosnia and Herzegovina and to the world." Former Latvian President Valdis Zatlers: "Our wisdom will open the way to peace." 

Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Emilija Redzepi said, “I wish all the people in the world to have peace, to live with love, to protect each other, to respect each other and to be solidarity. “

Former Latvian President Valdis Zatlers pointed out, ”There are some things which are above our everyday life, that is the soul, and that's the wisdom, and the soul is guiding our wisdom, and when you ring the bell, you feel both, and you feel responsibility”. “If you write something down, it will happen one day. Nobody knows when, but it will happen. It's very important not only to say loudly, but also to write down your wish”.

Former Uzbek Foreign Minister Vladimir Norov not only spoke his wish: "I wish to everyone good luck peace and prosperity", also sincere blessed: " I wish the big success in this forum and success to the activity of your organization which is try to unite all leaders to come together to find solution to many urgent problems which face now our humankind".

Dr. Hong issued the Declaration of International day of Conscience in 2019 and also issued the Declaration of World Day of the Power of Hope and the Declaration of World Prayer Day in 2022 to encourage the world to be guided by love and conscience and to mobilize with selfless and altruistic powers of hope for peace. When there is a power of hope, there is action; when there is a unity of action, there is success. FOWPAL invites all guests to join in the promotion of these three declarations for the security and peace of the world, and gather positive energies to lead the Earth towards a path of sustainable development.
