Widespread Recognition of Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy's Confounder 
April 4 Declared as Madam Yu, Mei-Jung Legacy Day

Tai Ji Men hosted the "Concert of Gratitude and Blessings – Illuminating the Light of Peace" at the Luckman Theatre, California State University, Los Angeles, on April 7. This extraordinary event, blending the enchanting elements of music, qigong, martial arts, dance, and art, sought to awaken the inherent kindness within humanity. It also honored Madam Yu, Mei-Jung, the esteemed wife of Tai Ji Men's leader, co-founder of the Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy, Vice President of the Federation of World Peace and Love (FOWPAL), and chair of the Advisory Board of the Association of World Citizens, a UN ECOSOC-Accredited NGO, for her lifelong commitment to fostering love and peace. UN Secretary-General António Guterres's office conveyed his best wishes for a successful commemoration. Madam Yu was bestowed with the "President's Lifetime Achievement Award" issued by President Joe Biden, accepted on her behalf by Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze, Tai Ji Men's leader. This prestigious recognition acknowledges Tai Ji Men, under their leadership, for their outstanding contribution of 610,000 hours of service to the United States.

 Tai Ji Men has visited 103 countries, conducting over 3,000 cultural presentations and exchanges for public welfare, showcasing the essence of a cultural heritage spanning over six thousand years. To honor Madam Yu Mei-Jung's unwavering dedication, the event launched the "Illuminating the Light of Peace" campaign. Through the solemn ceremony of ringing the "Bell of World Peace and Love" and the illumination ceremony, Tai Ji Men encouraged everyone to share their benevolent thoughts and unite their power of hope, driven by conscience, to bring about positive change worldwide. Nearly a thousand participants, including dignitaries like former President of Ecuador Rosalía Arteaga Serrano, former Prime Minister of Lesotho Pakalitha Bethuel Mosisili, scholars from diverse backgrounds, NGO leaders, and community members, actively engaged in this significant event.

Former President of Ecuador Rosalía Arteaga Serrano presented a certificate of recognition to Madam Yu, Mei-Jung, praising Dr. and Mrs. Hong as outstanding educators. She emphasized their efforts in educating young people to promote love and peace globally. President Serrano expressed deep gratitude to this exceptional couple for their invaluable contributions to humanity.

Many other leaders also honored Madam Yu, Mei-Jung for her tireless dedication to global peace and sustainability. During a gala dinner hosted by FOWPAL in New York on April 3, Hugues Sanon, special envoy of the COJEP International to the UN, and Dr. Bernard Fialkoff, president of the Americas Chapter of the Foundation for a Drug-Free World, on behalf of New York State Senator George Borrello and New York State Assemblyman Andrew Goodell, as well as various leaders and organizations, presented a Resolution to Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze. This Resolution was a tribute recognizing the virtues, dedication, and significant contributions of his late wife, Madam Yu, Mei-Jung, to the world.

Through the Resolution, these leaders and organizations joined forces to declare April 4th as Madam Yu, Mei-Jung Legacy Day. Among them were Mayor Cashenna A. Cross of the City of Glenarden, Maryland; COJET International; Foundation for a Drug Free World; A Time for Truth Foundation; ICAD; Chautauqua County Journal; Voix Caraibes; Global Organization for Sustainable Development; Royal Kingdom Ambassadors; Society in Action; Yayi Studios; Dominican Union of Sports in New York; Foundation  of  Bodegeros and Small Business in New York; Facundo Architecture; and Committee of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention.

It is stated in the Resolution: “Madam Yu, Mei-Jung, vice president of the Federation of World Peace and Love, was a woman of compassion and gentleness. Her efforts to promote conscience, love, and peace had spanned six continents. Her love, gentleness, and courage had touched and transformed tens of thousands of families worldwide.”
Dr. Monica Sanchez, International Cultural Ambassador and Founder of Miss Caricom Foundation, also attending the gala dinner, on behalf of Actor Danny Glover, presented Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze with the Power of Dream Award in recognition of his late wife, Madam Yu, Mei-Jung for her remarkable leadership and tireless efforts in advocating for conscientious education, respect, tolerance, and compassion among individuals, nations, and societies. 

On April 5, Arcadia City Mayor April Verlato attended the the World Leader Summit of Love and Peace, where she presented a certificate of recognition to FOWPAL and Madam Yu, Mei-Jung, vice president of FOWPAL and wife of the leader of Tai Ji Men, for her contribution to world peace. 

In addition, other influential leaders and organizations presented certificates of commendation and awards in recognition of Madam Yu, Mei-Jung's remarkable achievements and contributions to the world. Among those honoring her were Ivo Josipović, former President of Croatia; Moncef Marzouki, former President of Tunisia; U.S. Congress Members Ted W. Lieu and Linda Sanchez; California State Senators Anthony J. Portantino, Dave Cortese, Josh Newman, Maria Elena Durazo; New York State Senator George M. Borrello; California State Assembly Members Chris Holden, Freddie Rodriguez, Blanca E. Rubio, and Evan Low; Pasadena City Councilwoman Felicia Williams; Herta Margarete Habsburg-Lothringen, president of the Austrian-based Flame of Peace; as well as scholars and NGOs from around the world.  

Inspired by Madam Yu's example, members of Tai Ji Men and FOWPAL will carry forward her legacy of boundless love through tangible acts of kindness and compassion, continuing to spread her immortal spirit to the world. Madam Yu's exemplary life of selfless love and compassion will continue to radiate across the world, serving as an eternal beacon of true love.
